The Games Workshop universe, futuristic or fantasy, is absolutely ripe for video game fodder. We had the game based on Heroquest years ago, Space Hulk was also pretty cool, and of course there have been the RTS games such as Dawn of War. This time though, the universe has moved to the action game, with Warhammer 40K Space Marine. Relic, the developers behind the aforementioned Dawn of War games and Company of heroes, throw themselves into the 3rd-person genre, and is it actually any good? Forget bad weather, we have a bigger problem this holiday season….
Look. Look at the pile of games, weighing down that lovely girls arms like so many concrete charity armbands. That’s the problem that me, and many others are going to be facing from around about now.
Already this week, 4 titles that, if they were released at any other time of year would be classed as must haves, are sitting on the shelf of your local game store, fighting for your attention and that hard earned folding stuff in your wallets. (more…)
