Hey guys, Tony here with a blog update so overdue, countless planets have died since my last post.

Well, better late than never. How have you all been doing anyway? That good eh? Ah well…i’m sure it’ll clear with a course of antibiotics.

I’m sure, like me, you see gamers rambling on twitter, youtube and various gaming forums that they had a terrible game on “Game X” last night….the lobby was full of campers, nobody was playing the objective, blah blah yadda yadda. It’s one of the most frustrating things about gaming today. Buy your new game, jump into a lobby and everyone just runs around doing their own thing. No communication, no team work, people running past the objectives that you’re struggling to take….and that fucking idiot that jumps into a chopper and takes off without a belly-full of team mates. We’ve all been there. Well….this proposition may be your answer… (more…)

Well, we knew it would be coming, and it is.

Rockstar have just announced Grand Theft Auto V is on the way.

That’s pretty much it. The very first trailer will be shown on 2nd November of this year….just over a week away.

Check out the link by clicking right about here.

My pants are filled with excitement.

I love Mass Effect. I love it to buggery. I’ve always argued that the universe that Bioware have created rivals anything that the multiple-chinned trilogy fucker George Lucas has spouted out of his brain. So initially I was worried that Mass Effect 3 would include multiplayer. Does this game, which has been a pure single-player epic so far, need multiplayer? What does the multiplayer consist of? Yep….the man, the mustache, the legend that is Captain Price is back.

If you have missed it, and I don’t know how if you did, the new COD:MW3 trailer has just landed. It looks like they are pretty much just carrying on from where the last game left off. Which if that means that old Pricey is back then it’s all good with me. (more…)

Hey guys, welcome to the second part of my EXCLUSIVE Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath feature. I hope you enjoyed the hands on write up that I put up on the blog yesterday. If not, click here to read that first….it’ll make a bit more sense in the context of the interview.

So. Having had a couple of hours with the game and getting Stewart to flick through some of the later stages, I sat down with him to chew the fat, not just about the game, but about challenges making an HD remake, the future of the series, and why the hell isn’t it coming to the Xbox. I’ve basically just transcribed the interview as it was, so it’s in more of a “conversational” style…just imagine two people chatting away and you’re there. Stewart was friendly, candid and just very honest about all things from the development side of things, which I think will make for a great read. I was going to split it into two parts just down to the length of the interview, but sod it, it’s here in it’s entirety. So enjoy…. (more…)

That’s correct guys, you read the headline correctly. Last Friday I managed to pop up to Leeds to visit the guys at Just Add Water, developers of the HD remake of Stranger’s Wrath, for an exclusive hands on playthrough of the build of the game. While I was there I also held an interview with CEO of JAW, Stewart Gilray, for a chat about the game, the future for the Oddworld series and how they go about developing a game and transforming it to HD. But more about that later. (more…)

Yeah, ok…i’m slightly late to the party on this one, but hey, a good video is a good video.

Whilst watching a few movie reviews on Youtube, I happened to stumble across this. Now, if you’re not familiar with Mark Kermode, he’s an English film reviewer who is known for the way he can completely destroy any film that he doesn’t quite like. He’s utterly brutal, in a completely well mannered, non-sweary way. (more…)

The demo for the latest shooty bang bang installment in the Ace Combat series is now LIVE! I’ve been a fan of Namco’s flight series since the very first edition on the PS1, known as “Air combat” back then, so i’ve been keeping a close eye on this one. I’m not disappointed in the slightest. (more…)
